1857, January. Cover from Bahia to Paris via Genoa with very fine green marking of the Sardinian Consulate at Bahia on reverse, embarked on the "Compagnia Transatlatica"-"Torino" on her inaugural voyage from South America, arriving at Genoa on Feb. 11 where the framed "Vapori transatl." was applied after being disembarked for overland carriage, red French entry, charged at single rate with "8" décimes on arrival.
