1797, May 15. Entire letter from Pernambuco to Lisbon carried by the Portuguese corvette "Boa Fortuna". On this date the private postal system "Correio-Mor das Cartas do Mar" had already been extinguished (16.3.1797), but only after 1.4.1799 the Portuguese Crown implemented the use of the postmarks and manuscript rate annotations.
