15 casks of organic whisky were filled in 1992 at the world renowned Springbank Distillery, as a result and commissioned by the single minded determination of veteran organic farmer John Savage-Onstwedder. The barley used for Springbank Dà Mhìle whisky is genuinely organic and produced without aid of any chemical additive. It is the first organic whisky in the world to be certificated by Soil Association. This unique organic whisky is one of two remaining casks to have now achieved an age statement of 33 years. The cask can be stored for as long as the owner wishes at Dà Mhìle bonded warehouse. Bottling can also be done at Dà Mhìle as they have their own in-house bottling facility.
