Following the 2016 release, this is the third Macallan 40 YO release consisting of European oak sherry and American oak sherry butt casks. Only 465 bottles were released.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Dried fruits and gentle ginger notes lead the nose, followed by deep oak and caramel.

Palate: The palate brings warm cinnamon and toasted wood chips, with sultanas and figs making an appearance.

Finish: The finish lingers, led by even more spice and forest fruits.
