Dà Mhìle Organic Springbank cask
A unique piece of Scotch whisky history

At cask strength 50-52%, should produce about 280 bottles.

With this auction, Spink and Dà Mhìle offer a fortunate buyer the rare opportunity to be the last one to secure such cask of Dà Mhìle Springbank 1992. The buyer will be invited for a private visit of Springbank and Dà Mhìle distillery in Scotland.

A number of the 11 casks have been tasted and scored by Jim Murray, the world’s most renowned whisky writer who has scored them twice as “Superstar whisky” in his bible of 2011 and 2013.
In the 2011 Bible, he scored the Dà Mhìle NEWBORN, organic Springbank edition with 95 points “Superstar whisky”.
In the 2013 Bible he scored the Dà Mhìle “LOST&FOUND”, organic Springbank edition with 94 points – also putting it into the “Superstar whisky” category.
According to Jim Murray, Springbank reaches its optimum, aged between 20 and 25 years.

- Price is ex-bond at GLEN SCOTIA distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland duty free
Other charges for the new owner of this cask apply:
- If the new buyer decide to have the whisky bottled in 2016, the bottling charges would be HK$9,850
- For bottling 280 bottles. It includes the price of the bottles, corks, caps and labeling but exclude the cost of the labels themselves.
- If the bottling takes place at Dà Mhìle Distillery, transportation charges for the cask with insurance would be HK$4,900
- New owner could create his/her own label at his cost
- Storage at Glen Scotia is around HK$1,800 per year should the new owner decide to keep it there.
