Auction: SFW08 - Cognac, Whiskies and Other Spirits
Lot: 130
Hennessy, Henco Very special product by Hennessy, eventually discontinued, with yet a great story behind it… Henco was released in the 1950-60's to be enjoyed with water in order to compete with scotch whisky. Traditionally, cognac used to be often enjoyed with water (the so-called ‘Fine a l’Eau’). As blended scotch grew in popularity in France, cognac got evicted by scotch whiskies as it was more and more considered as a winter drink. Henco was released to promote cognac with water again. Very few bottles are still available in the market.
