China Postal Stationery
Imperial Post
1908 Fourth Issue, Coiling Dragon
1908 (10 Nov.) card registered to Harbin uprated with Russia 10k. tied by faint Revel datestamp, registration label at left, redirected to Nikilsk-Ussuruivysk (formally Ketritsevo, between Vladivostok and Khabarovak) with arrival c.d.s. (29.11); unusual. Photo
Note: travelled via Trans Siberian Railway and the Chinese Eastern Railway to the border area of Ussuri, the Trans-Siberian did not connect with the Ussuri railway via Russia (the connection on Russian territory was first built in 1914-1916 between Chita and Khabarovsk). The post therefore had to go via the China Eastern Railway, or the Ussuri river.
