with young Victoria at obverse, reverse depicts British and Chinese delegations, flying Fama at centre, pagoda at right and possibly HMS Cornwallis at left (where the Treaty of Nanking was actually signed), NGC UNC Details, environmental damage. #6673732-001. Struck to commemorate the Treaty of Nanking which ended the First Opium War and established Hong Kong as a British Colony. An attractive large size medal with coffee brown toning throughout. Scarce
