Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China, Hong Kong, remainder $50, partial date 190-, no serial numbers, orange and purple, manager signature Cochrane, perforated cancelled,
(Pick 38r), This is the second example known for the remainder $50 with the other example being sold at Spink in 2019 for HKD650,000 hammer. Both notes bear the "190-" type unlike the previously known type which dates 1910. Though some minor differences should be noted between the two notes, this particular example is perforated "CANCELLED. W.W. SPRAGUE & Co. LONDON" which indicates this particular example was used by the printer possibly for reference etc whereas the previous example had four punched holes with three at the signature. Also this example includes the counterfoil at left. An extremely rare note, currently the second one known. PMG 40 Extremely Fine (selvage included, cancelled, toning, discoloration)


190-年印度新金山中國匯理銀行伍拾員注銷庫存票，無編號，由當時香港分行總經理Cochrane親筆簽名，有打孔注銷。此枚伍拾員是第二張流入私人收藏市場的190-年伍拾員庫存票，而第一枚亦由Spink於2019年以650000港幣拍出。所有這個版別的伍拾員均印有‘191’開頭的年份，這兩枚則印上‘190’。有別於2019所拍出的那一枚，此枚的打孔注銷有印鈔廠的名字‘W.W. SPRAGUE & Co. LONDON’，由此可以推斷是印鈔廠作內部參考用之樣板。此外，2019年那枚有四個較大的打孔，當中有三個在簽名上，也沒有附帶紙邊，所以不同之處也甚為明顯。PMG 40，帶紙邊，被注銷，泛黃，褪色。此版別是現有紀錄中僅有的第二枚，可遇不可求!
