1947年10月11日由台灣製糖公司經上海寄華盛頓的大型掛號封, 封背共貼了$130,700. 郵資, 銷上海點線日戳, 及10月16日華盛頓到達戳, 而信封正面貼有紅白两色帶 "Taipei S.O." 的掛號貼紙, 郵費的計算方法可於封上看到. 像這樣的大型封, 封週邊有皺摺, 實在無可避免. 更重要的是此信封先由台灣寄出往上海而再遞送海外.
