Acceleration by Air Mail within China: 1941 (19 Mar.) long commercial envelope to New York "Airmail to Shanghai by Pres Taft. sailing from Shai March 24 1941" bearing 70c. franking tied by Peking c.d.s.; underpays 50c. surface and 25c. internal air by 5c. (20c. and 25c. adhesives were the same colour). Also 1941 (11 Feb.) another long envelope from the American Consulate in Yunnanfu to New York, "Air Mail to Hong Kong Only" with Martyrs $1 franking and Hong Kong Not Opened by Censor handstamp, Hong Kong backstamp; pays 50c. surface and double 25c. internal air.
