Censored Mail
1940's envelope registered to Switzerland bearing, on the reverse, $32 franking tied by Shanghai c.d.s. with the registration label on the address side, the censor label bears handstamp "condemned" in pink, overstruck by "released" (further handstamps on the address side) in purple with Tegna and Ascona 1946 (29.1). This letter had been sent by the International Stamp Co. and it was not allowed to send stamps by mail during World War 2, hence this is why the letter was halted. Some light soiling.
