Qing Dynasty, gold Pattern Kuping Tael, Reeded Edge/Small Clouds variety, Dingwei (1907), Tientsin mint, Obverse: Four Chinese characters within a beaded ring: 'Da Qing Jin Bi' (Gold Coin of the Great Qing), the outer circle above 'Guang Xu Ding Wei Nian Zao' (Made During the Ding Wei Year of Guang Xu), in the outer circle below: 'Ku Ping Yi Liang' (One Ku Ping Tael)
Reverse. Large dragon entirely surrounded by small clouds. Boldly struck with nicely reflective fields and a touch of greenish-gold patina. Light contact marks are noted on the obverse, with only a very few tiny marks on the reverse. An exceedingly rare issue, struck only in tiny numbers as Patterns,
(KM-Pn302, LM-1024), NGC MS61 #3054332-001. Superbly struck specimen with mirror like fields with hints of patina. Light marks on both sides. A very small number was made and thus rarely offered. A fabulous Qing era gold dragon pattern!
光緒丁未年(1907)大清金幣一兩樣幣,小雲版,鑄自天津造幣廠,
正面中央串珠環內有「大清金幣」四字,外圈上方則有「光緒丁未年造」六字,下方「庫平一兩」,背面細小祥雲環繞大龍,鑄打深竣有致,底板原光充沛,帶一絲綠調金光,正面有輕微經處理痕跡,背面幾近無瑕,NGC MS61,#3054332-001,無論各方面皆極出眾之樣幣,鑄量寥寥無幾,不容忽視之珍罕佳品
