China: Southern Ming, (1644–1662),
Hong Guang Tong Bao, group of 17x 1 cash coins, the character Hong variety (6); normal Hong character (6); rev: star in upper quadrant (3), small sized cash coin (1), phoenix in upper quadrant (1), 23.2x0.8mm, 2.3g, the phoenix coin Zhong Qian Genuine, the rest raw coins in very fine to extremely fine. Zhu You Song (1607-1646), Prince of Fu proclaimed himself as Regent of Ming on 7th June 1644 and Emperor Hong Guang on 19th June the same year. He was captured by Qing forces in June 1645 and executed shortly after making Hong Guang Tong Bao a short lived series. Dr. Werner Burger Collection. (17) [247-250]


南明弘光通寶小平一組17枚，2款弘字版別共12枚，背上星3枚，小型錢及背上鳳各一枚，背上鳳中乾評真品，其餘VF至EF， 明思宗殉國後，朱由崧於1644年在南京即位，改元弘光，在位僅一年，1645 年 6 月被清軍俘虜，並在鑄造弘光通寶後不久被處決
