First Trial Flight Shanghai - Peiping - Tihwa
1932 (6 Jan.) 1c. postal stationery card to Shanghai, uprated with 1916-19 ½c. (2) and 4c. plus Unification of China 1c. (2) all cancelled by Tihwa bilingual c.d.s. and is marked "air mail Experimental flight" with blue-grey Par Avion etiquette. The reverse bears Shanghai arrival c.d.s. (13.1) and there is a long account of the advantage of air mail postage written by F.Z. Chun, including, "The ordinary mail took 40-50 days from Tihwa to Shanghai" and indicating that this card only took seven days. An unusual and interesting card. Photo
