1867 (23 Sept.) buff envelope to New Hampshire, U.S.A. bearing 4c. grey, 18c. no watermark and 24c. green tied by sharp strikes of the "B62" in black with London Paid (23.11), "5/cents" accountancy handstamp and Boston Br Pk (4.12) c.d.s., the reverse with neat Hong King despatch c.d.s. With the original letter showing this was carried on the USS 'Hartford'. Overpays the 45c. rate via Southampton. A very good three-colour franking. Holcombe certificate (1991). Photo
