1/4c 1891 PROOF ONLY DATE. Calcutta Mint VIP PROOF, brilliant. No currency examples were struck in this year. NGC PF 65 RB (NGC Cert # 3235302-003). 12 proof examples graded by NGC of which this is the finest (tied with one other). PCGS reports grading three, ranging from PR 62 to PR 64.

1/2c 1891 PROOF ONLY DATE. Calcutta Mint, VIP PROOF, turquoise toned. No currency examples were struck in this year. NGC PF 65 BN (NGC Cert # 3235302-004). 12 proof examples graded by NGC of which this is the sole finest. PCGS reports grading two proofs, PR RB 62 and 63.

1c 1891 PROOF ONLY DATE. Calcutta Mint, VIP PROOF, red toned. No currency examples were struck in this year. NGC PF 65 RB (NGC Cert # 3277407-005). Only 8 proof examples graded by NGC of which this is the sole finest. PCGS reports grading no proofs. Very rare.
