1864 (20 May) stampless entire letter to France "pr Messageries Imperials Via marseilles" bearing a light strike of Shanghai Paid c.d.s. in red, boxed "PD" and unframed "PP", "1/4" (½ ounce rate), "1" and other rate marks in red crayon, and octagonal Suez to Marseilles datestamp (5.7), the reverse with Shanghai code "C" c.d.s. and Hong Kong code "C" c.d.s. both in blue plus Lyon arrival c.d.s. (6 and 8.7). Good French mail. Clean and fine. Photo
