H.M.S. Albatross: 1881 (Jan.) neat envelope from a marine on H.M.S. Albatross stationed in Yokohama, countersigned by the commanding officer across left corner and bearing pair of G.B. 1880-81 1d. Venetian red (2) cancelled by London barred oval obliterators, with a good strike of Hong Kong code B c.d.s. (11.1) and, on the reverse, Castle Douglas (17.2) and New Galloway c.d.s.
