50pf. black and purple on rose, variety overprint tilting down from left to right, tied on small piece by Tientsin c.d.s dated 1900 (11 Dec.); the stamp is centred low and left but bears a very fine strike of the handstamp in a rich, deep colour characteristic of the first printing. A stunning and remarkable rarity of which very few exist. Various signatures on the reverse, Jakubek (1992) and Brettl (1993) certificates. Photo
