Registration: 1897 (13 July) opened-out envelope registered to Austria bearing wide setting 30c. on 24ca. with variety of three type C tied by Hankow Dollar dater and, on the reverse, small figures ½c. on 3ca. block of eight with similar cancellation and tied by Shanghai Dollar dater (16.7); the 30c. stamp on the address side is partly covered by three France "Chine" 25c. (defects) but leaving the positional variety clear and tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s., there is a fine strike of large "R" in red , French registered handstamp and other transit marks.
