1896 (c.) 20 cash pale blackish blue on wove paper, close to large margins and with a pair of parallel aniline red lines across the centre which have been impressed into the surface of the stamp and the colour suffused through to the reverse; there is a light angled crease from the foot of this stamp which does not detract from this fine example of this mysterious and evocative stamp. Very few examples have been recorded and this example is very similar to that illustrated in Charles Dougan's book. Ex Rosamond. Photo
