1857 albumen print photo "Island of the Thilae" taken by Fancis Frith (1822-1898) mounted on thin card with a copy of the photo information. Fries is a British geography photographer. It is said that he once traveled to China to shoot, but the legacy works about China are rare; he founded his own photography studio in Liverpool, England in 1853. The Middle East and Egypt as the main shooting subjects of him. This photo was taken at the Temple of Philae on the Philae Island, Nile River in Egypt and signed on this works. In fine condition.


1857年弗里斯(Fancis Frith 1822-1898) 攝 "Island of Thilae" 蛋白照片, 裱於薄咭紙上. 附有該照片資料一份. 弗里斯是英國地誌攝影師, 據說他曾經到過中國遊歴拍攝, 但遺傳下有關約中國攝影作品却鳳毛麟角; 他在1853年於英國利物浦創立了自已的攝影工作室, 他以中東及埃及两地區為主要的拍攝主題. 而這幅照片就是拍攝於埃及尼羅河上菲萊島的菲萊神廟, 並在作品上簽了名. 保存良好.
