1878-83, three U.P.U. rate envelopes to England with 1878 (24 Oct.) bearing 12c. blue with with a superb strike of “forwarded by/jardine, matheson & co./shanghai”; 1881 (20 Jan.) envelope to Dorset with 10c. mauve; and 1883 (3 Jan.) envelope to Tavistock “via Brindisi” and redirected to Plymouth. Each cancelled by “S1” in black. Some minor soiling. (3 covers)
