The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, $100, specimen, 2.12.1929, without serial numbers, blue and black, Bank arms at centre, Minerva at left, watermark at right, printed manuscript signature of Fergusson at lower right, reverse blue, junk boat and sampan at centre, (Pick 52s), PMG 50 About Uncirculated. A legendary note colloquially known as the 'Female Roman'. Authentic printing in issued colours for this note is extremely rare. This is the only known example of a true colour specimen and there are rumours of an issued note in an advanced collector's hands. A once in a generation opportunity to acquire a genuine example of this iconic note.
