The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, $100, specimen, 1.5.1924, without serial numbers, green, black and orange, Bank arms at upper centre, denomination at each corner, vignette of walkers crossing a wooden bridge at left and hillside walkers at right, reverse red and black, Bank building at centre, four small hole punch cancellations, (Pick 45s), PMG 55 About Uncirculated. One of the most famous Hong Kong notes that, so far, has not been seen in fully issued form and almost never in specimen form until this offering. This type is infamous for its contempory forgeries similar to the note in the following lot. This catalogue is unique in that the colour trial, true colour specimen and contemporary forgery will be offered!
1924年印度新金山中國渣打銀行100元樣票，「獨木橋」，無編號，PMG 55，香港紙鈔熱門版別之一。此版別發行期短，假票橫行，今人常誤當假票為真票，正因為缺乏參照的樣本。本場拍賣極為難得地集合了此鈔票的正式樣票、試色樣票及一枚老假票，誠屬千載難逢機會，據資深藏家考究，這款100元的樣票、試色票及流通票存世各只有3枚，有興趣的藏家們萬勿錯過。
