The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, a uniface obverse printer's model for 5 and 10 Hong Ping Taels, Tientsin, handwritten date '25/10/1927', green on pink, supported arms at upper centre, 'T5" at left and "T10" at right to this and also within the borders, 'FIVE' in red as underprint at lower centre,
(Pick S221/222pm), PMG 61 Uncirculated (Stained, Pinholes). A unique and superb model showing an efficient use of labour - presumably the designs for the 5 and 10 taels were to be the same style (bar the colours and denomination of course) and therefore one model with a denomination on each side was used. The first time a double denomination model is seen by the cataloguer.
