The Hongkong and Shanghai Coporation, $100, 1.1.1912, specimen, without serial numbers, red-orange an black, tea production scenes at left and right, 'SPECIMEN' overprinted in red, reverse red, the old Bank building at centre,
(Pick 169as), PMG 53 About Uncirculated (Closed Pinholes, Toning). This note is highly unusual in that both Pick and KN Boon list the red reverse for the 1909 date only. This 1912 red reverse subtype is believed to be unique at the time of cataloguing and therefore should command a large premium over the other dates. A truly magnificent note
