1922 (28 Nov.) large commercial cover registered to Zurich "Per S.S. 'President Cleveland'" beaing 35c. franking of 1c. (15, ten on reverse) and 10c. (2) "china" stamps tied by Shanghai registered oval type R4, code "A" with a good strike of the scarce type 6a "R/Shanghai B.P.O./No." registered handstamp (Proud R10) in black, the reverse with London registered (1.1) and part arrival c.d.s. (2.1); a little soiled. An impressive cover and a fine strike of the boxed registered handstamp used just before the closure of the British Post Office in Shanghai. Photo
