1941 Centenary, a presentation folder of five photographic essays in varying forms and slightly larger than the issued stamps, each without value and showing design subjects which are similar to the issued stamps. These are affixed to a cards along with the issued stamps and signed by the artist, David Robson. The inside cover with the written note, "From these first sketches the finished stamps were completed in accordance with instructions of the Stamp-committee - no preliminary sketches were submitted for the 2 cents and 15 cents denominations - they were suggested by the stamp-committee and finished by me. None of the designs were altered by the engravers. The original paintings are in the possession of His Majesty the King. This is the first set of this kind and prepared for David Anderson with my compliments. Hong Kong April 1941". A very good set of these scarce essays. Photo
