1917 (31 July) envelope from Harbin from a member of The American Red Cross Mission to Russia bearing First Peking Junk 10c. tied by the boxed "american legation/peking" datestamp and Washington machine postmark (27.8) along with a faint strike of "... originally mailed in country indicated by postage", with Chicago duplex (28.8) on the reverse; light soiling but an interesting cover and early use of this marking.
