1894 (17 July) envelope registered to Chicago bearing a light strike of "kiukiang customs/mail matter" with two Koban 10s. brown (2) covering this postmark as usual and tied by type IV Meiji 27 c.d.s. with I.J.P.O. Shanghai registration label at foot, the reverse with a light strike of "customs/kiukiang" c.d.s. in red, Customs Shanghai c.d.s. (19.7) and Yokohama (29.7) c.d.s. plus two strikes of Chicago registered datestamp (22.8). A delightful example of this rare cover. Photo
