Kingdom of Srivijaya, a large size gold coins, ND(13th-18th century), irregular shaped, inscribed with symbol of flowers on one side,
well preserved, good extremely fine and rare in this size. "The kingdom's money was influenced by the silver coins of Lydia, an ancient city in Turkey, which was the first country to produce silver coins about 700 years BC. Srivijaya golden and silver coinage was imprinted with the sandalwood flower (Dok Chan) mark on one side This coinage is called 'Ngoen Dok Chan', these coins were plentifully found in Chai Ya district and further south on the island of Sumatra in what is now Indonesia, the kingdom prospered until it was destroyed by Javanese forces in the 18th century BE."
