Auction: CSS36 - Banknotes, Bonds & Shares and Coins of China and Hong Kong
Lot: 2857

The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, $10, uniface and reverse colour trial specimen, 1.8.1929, green, black and pale orange, denomination at each corner, pagoda and junk boats at left, sampan and mountains at right, bank coat of arms at centre, it is very interesting to note that this note does NOT have the word 'TEN' in underprint which appeared on the issued notes since 1923,
(Pick 50ct), PMG 64EPQ for the obverse and 64 for the reverse. This type does not exist for the printed date and signature. In fact, colour trial notes bearing the date is extremely rare in itself and thus this note is extremely rare, if not unique (1 pair)

1929年印度新金山中國渣打銀行10元正反面試色樣鈔一對,底面沒有’TEN’ 的字眼,並印有日期,非常珍罕,可謂孤品,分別評PMG64EPQ及64
