1942 (21 Oct.) envelope sent express registered to Kunming bearing, on the reverse, 16c. olive-brown strip of three with Martyr 8c. tied by Kweiyang dotted c.d.s. with part of the express lable at top. A good cover paying 16c. postage plus 40c. for the express registered. An important cover which is thought to be the earliest use of the 16c. on cover. Photo
