The collection features stamps doing postal service before and after the earthquake and includes 1914-25 set to 10y. used, mint commemorative issues including 1916 Investiture of Prince Hirohito, 1921 Anniversary of Japanese Post Office, Return of Crown Prince; photo postcards (4) showing some of the devastation after the earthquake; a group of 1914-25 Taisho imprint singles and multiples showing the different imprints and other multiples from pre and post earthquake printings including single 1y, 13s. and 30s. blocks of eight; 1923 imperforate set of nine unused, some values in multiples; 1933 coil stamps unused; refugee ship mail and manuscript Yokohama cancellation on foreign mail (used with the temporary loss of the postmark); postal stationery items; a collection of revenue stamps and many others.
