West Szechwan - Chengtu: 1942 (25 Feb.) double weight air mail envelope to New York via Calcutta, Lagos then P.A.A. to U.S.A. Bearing, on the reverse, $18.40 franking tied by Chengtu dotted c.d.s., the dollar values with the handstamped characters in violet (very faint on the $5) with New York arrival maching postmark above (27.3) and censor seal at side. A good franking carried on route 8 ($1 postage and double $8.70 air mail). A scarce franking. Photo
