2c. on 2ca. green variety surcharge inverted cancelled by Shanghai Dollar chop in dark blue which is probably dated 8 November 1897 (a late date for this variety as most are dated in September or October); the stamp is centred low and left, showing a small portion of the design above and probably originated from surcharge left pane [12]. A very good example of this variety of which only twenty two have been recorded of the original sheet of forty. Chan and S.G. 39d; £45,000. Photo
