proofs for an unissued 50 and 100 rupees, c.1966, the 50 rupees features D.S. Senanayake (Prime Minister of Ceylon 1947-1952), and the 100 rupees features an elderly lady at right, the reverses of both unadopted
designs, presumably this type was considered with the ‘Solomon Bandaranaike’ design, (Pick not listed),
unique and fascinating (2 pairs).
