1907 Native Women issue
A photograph which served as the inspiration for the design of the 10fr stamp with an example of 10fr included. In the photograph, the seated woman holds the shaft of a large umbrella. In the stamp, the umbrella became a large hat on the head of the standing woman. Certainly the unique antecedent for the high-value stamp of the iconic Native Women series (example included).
