Asiatic Banking Corporation, Hong Kong, remainder $500, ca.1860s, no serial number, uniface, orange,
(Pick 15r), PMG 63. Founded in 1860 and operated in Ceylon, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. No issued notes are known for the entire series. The empty serial number, date and signatures section were likely only filled in as the notes are needed for use. $500 equal to 500 silver dollar coins then which was a huge sum of money hence a denomination as such was only likely used for institutional transactions. Extremely rare, the only example on PMG census and less than five examples are known.
