-top right '100' vertical instead of horizontal,
-centre left guilloche different colour combinations,
-additional guilloche at right of Mao,
-vertical underprint at centre left different colour combination, and more,

1999年中國人民銀行第五版人民幣壹佰圓漸進式彩色試印票，未發行設計，與正式發行紙幣存在一些差異，例如： -右上角「100」字樣為垂直而非橫向； -左側中間的防偽紋飾顏色不同； -毛主席右側新增防偽紋； -左側中間的垂直底紋顏色組合不同， PMG 64EPQ。此為較後期測試設計，非常獨特且罕見。
