(11.2) on the flap along with oval "forwarded by/olyphants sons/new york" struck in red and crossed through with small oval "gordon & talbot/n.y." alongside and with New York/Am.Pkt. c.d.s. (16.2) on the address side. An early example of the reduced rate introduced on 1855 (21.2) of U.S. Inland 10c., Transatlantic 32c., British transit 24c. and French transit 30c. (total 96c.)
