Tientsin "China" Overprint: 10pf. carmine, a horizontal pair, the right stamp showing clear doubling of the handstamp, affixed on 1901 (14 Aug.) large "Feldpost" cover from Tientsin to Germany and cancelled by good strikes of "tientsin/deutsche post" code "a" c.d.s. with a further strike alongside, the reverse bearing Meiningen arrival c.d.s. (15.10); the left stamp with a 3mm tear near the lower left corner and the envelope with vertical folding creases and some scuffs. A very rare error to find on cover and late use of this issue.
