Woosung: 1899 (6 Mar.) neat envelope with oval "Custom House Shanghai" embossed on flap to Woosung (7.3), bearing on front C.I.P. 2c. cancelled by "Shanghai" dollar chop, on reverse showing a good strike of the rare Woosung dollar chop with "Kuang Hsu 25th year 1st month" simplified as "1st month", very fine. Photo Exceptionally rare as probably being the earliest date of Woosung dollar chop (only recorded as arrival marking) not showing the yeardate. and bearing, on the reverse, a good strike of Woosung Dollar chop in black, a delightful Dollar chop example in which "the first month, the 25th year of Emperor Kuang Hsu" were simplified as "the 1st month".
