1973 edition of "Captive Christmas/The Battle of Hong Kong-December 1941" and the 1982 edition of "Captive Years/The Occupation of Hong Kong 1941-45" were both written by Alan Birch and Martin Cole. Both books detail the situation before and after the fall of Hong Kong. They also include a 1942 postcard depicting "The Last General Offensive Map" (the same image that appears on the cover of one of the books). This postcard was drawn by Japanese army illustrator Yamaguchi Tomoharu, who accompanied the Japanese army during the attack on Hong Kong.


1979年刊 "Capyive Christmas/ The Battle of Hong Kong-December 1941" 及1982年刊 "Captive Years/ The Occupation of Hong Kong 1941-45" 著者均為 Alan Birch & Martin Cole. 两書詳述香港淪陷前後的情況. 並附帶一枚少見的1942年印刷的 "最後的總攻擊圖 (與其中一書的封面同一圖畫)" 明信片, 是日本派往攻擊香港的陸軍隨軍畫家山口蓬春所畫.
