Chartered Bank of Australia & China, Hong Kong, $5, 1.5.1922, serial number M/A 390000, one handsigned signature,
(Pick 41), PMG 30NET, restoration (previously raised). It was common for contemporary forgers to alter genuine banknotes to a higher denomination in the attempt to fool the users. Likely most of Hong Kong's population back in 1920s will not know or have even seen what a $50 or $500 note looks like. Aside from the restoration on denominations, the note has undeniable overall eye appeal. Extremely rare to see examples that comes close to this note with its vivid colour and clear signatures.


1922年印度新金山中國渣打銀行伍員「舂米」，編號 M/A 390000，左下方手簽署名，PMG 30NET，有修復，曾被改為更高面額，後改回至原本伍員面值。在二十世紀二十年代，物價低廉，大部分港人很可能沒有接觸50元或500元的機會，其時有不少不法之徒會把真鈔改成更高的面額，試圖魚目混珠。除了有還原本來的面額，此品的色彩依然鮮豔，簽名清晰，其吸引力無可置疑，更是別具歷史意義
