China, Republic, [PCGS SP64] pattern silver dollar, Year 18 (1928), Hangchow Mint (KM-618, Wanchow-908), Japanese design with die prepared by Osaka Mint, #59098963. This Japanese rendition of the iconic Chinese rarity features a smaller bust and larger collar on Dr. Sun Yat Sen, and a largely different junk/wave design on reverse. Soft sunset tones throughout that gradients darker at the rim. One of the best example seen in public auction in recent years! Not to be missed by any advanced collectors wishing to upgrade.
