China, Qing Dynasty, Kirin Province, [Zhong Qian AU58] silver 50 tael sycee, (1905), stamped 'Guang Xu San Shi Yi Nian' (31st year of Guang Xu), 'Jiang Gao Ming' (forged by Gao Ming), original stamp at left is illegible, with a smaller 'Xin Wei' (sexagenary cycle year) overstamped to indicate this sycee was used in 1931. 135.3x77x100.5mm, weighs 1900.7g. A much coveted type featuring a steep gradient with high 'wings', nice undamaged wings and lustrous pores
