1948-1960s total of 78 Hong Kong Cantonese opera tunes and lyrics were published in newspapers. The rich repertoire provides rare material for studying the spread of post-war Cantonese opera in Hong Kong. In addition to Cantonese opera lyrics, the newspaper contains novel supplements, movie advertisements, etc. It is also valuable information for understanding Hong Kong movies in the 1950s.


1948-1960年代刊載於報紙上之香港粵劇播音曲詞一批共七十八份, 分别刊於掃蕩晚報, 麗的呼聱日報 (Rediffusion Daily), 大華晚報, 紅綠晚報, 中英晚報及娛樂之音報等. 劇目豐富, 為研究香港戰後粵劇流傳提供了難得的素材.除了粵劇曲詞外, 報紙上載有小說副刊, 電影廣告等, 同時亦是了解上世紀五十年代香港電影的寶貴資料.
